This print captures the bronze statue of General Mercer that was erected by the federal government in 1906. Before the Revolutionary War, Dr. Mercer practiced medicine for fifteen years in Fredericksburg with the medicines and treatments of the time. His patients included Mary Washington. Dr. Mercer left his practice to join the Revolutionary Army and died as a Brigadier General at the Battle of Princeton in 1777. Dimensions: 11 x 13
